FAFSA on the Web 2009 - 2010
The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and must be completed to apply for any type of financial aid program.
Students will need to gather the following before beginning the FAFSA on the Web process:

PIN
-
Social Security number
-
Alien registration card (if not a U.S. citizen)

Driver's license
-
2008 W-2 Forms and other records of money earned
-
2008 Federal Income Tax Return (and for spouse, if married)
-
2008 untaxed income records (Social Security, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Veterans Benefits records, child support received.

2. Complete the FAFSA

Students may complete the FAFSA on the Web at www.fafsa.gov. Use our school code for Monroe College 004799. Your information will be sent to Student Financial Services electronically in 4 days.

Students must go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and follow the directions given there. They must then print the confirmation page and electronically copy and paste the page to their email. This email must be sent to atorres@monroecollege.edu for both freshman and continuing students.

Use your FAFSA confirmation page to link to TAP or go www.tapweb.org to apply. Use the right school code for your program and your information will be sent to Student Financial Services for consideration.

Once the FAFSA is complete, if students are NYS residents, the link to TAP (TOTW) will appear on the last page. Students must complete the TAP Web application, electronically copy and paste the summary pages to their emails before submitting the application. This email must be sent to atorres@monroecollege.edu for both freshman and continuing students.
