Prizes

First Prize – Culinary Competition

  • The right to wear the title “America’s Best High School Chef”
  • Full *Academic Scholarship for the AAS Culinary Arts Program at Monroe College (valued up to **$18,000 per year)
  • The opportunity to study abroad in Italy in the Monroe Study Abroad Program.

 

First Prize – Pastry Competition

  • The right to wear the title “America’s Best High School  Pastry Chef”
  • Full *Academic Scholarship for the AAS Baking and Pastry Arts Program at Monroe College (valued at **$18,000 )
  • The opportunity to study abroad in Italy in the Monroe Study Abroad Program.

 

Final Four (in either Category)

  • Partial *Academic Scholarships for either the AAS Culinary Arts or AAS Baking and Pastry programs (valued at ***$3,000)

*Academic Scholarships are based on meeting GPA and other institutional requirements.  The scholarship value is based on the current tuition rate and may rise with tuition increase.   Students have up to 5 semesters to complete the AAS degree.

 

***Students entering into the final four not wishing to attend Monroe College’s Culinary or Baking and Pastry Arts Program will receive a $750 scholarship to the school of their choice. The overall winner will automatically upgrade to the top prize which will supersede the prize won as a finalist.
