Mass-Email and Announcements Process
- The mass e-mail originator sends their e-mail message to the IT Dept's Help Desk Director;
If the message is deemed appropriate, the message is sent to the IT Dept's Help Desk staff; The Help Desk staff then sends the e-mail out to specified groups under the originator's name; If the message is not deemed appropriate, the originator is notified. Appeals for denied messages may be made to the CIO.

- Wide cancellations due to bad weather;
Notices specific to a particular class which contain vital information; Security Alerts (both physical and technological); and, Notices of a time-sensitive nature.
