Affordable Private Education

Monroe ranks as one of the most affordable private colleges in New York State.  The cost of education is important. That’s why Monroe College is committed to keeping tuition at a level students can afford. Financial concerns shouldn't prevent students from getting a great college education. Monroe provides dedicated financial aid counselors that can provide advice on how to finance an education by offering great financial aid packages, scholarships and flexible payment plans.  These that can help make earning a college degree much more affordable.

 

In addition to Pell and TAP grants, Monroe has many other financial aid opportunities, including these new grants and scholarships:

 

New York Metro Grant

Awarded to students who recently graduated from a local high school and plan on attending college while living at home. This award can be up to $1,800 annually while enrolled at Monroe.

 

Jump Start Grant

Awarded to students who attended one semester of the Monroe Jumpstart Program and received a grade of "C" or higher in this class.  This award can be up to $900 annually while enrolled at Monroe.

 

Criminal Justice Grant
A $750 grant will be awarded to active criminal justice professionals who attend Monroe full time.  A $375 grant is available for part-time students.
