New Math Chair At Monroe College

Monroe College President Stephen Jerome is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Conrad “Connie” Goldberg as the new chairman of the Mathematics Department. In addition to a career with numerous corporations in the field of information technology, Professor Goldberg has an extensive background in teaching math, statistics, and physics at Queens College, The New York Institute of Technology, Baruch College, Queensborough College, and the Keller Graduate School of Management. His corporate career spans a broad range of positions at corporations that include Vital Basics, Inc., Computer Sciences Corporation, MSC Industrial Supply Corp., and Tambrands, Inc.

“Dr. Goldberg’s background as an experienced educator and practitioner of information technology fits in with the Monroe College philosophy,” said President Jerome. “As a result, his leadership will support our students in the classroom and also as they prepare for successful careers.” All Monroe College programs require study of mathematics. The college offers both theoretical and application-oriented courses.
