Monroe Graudations Set Records

In 2004, Monroe College President Stephen Jerome conferred college degrees on more students than at any other single year in the college’s seventy-one year history. This year’s commencement also marked the first for the college's Criminal Justice Program, which graduated twenty-seven students, five of whom will be entering the NYPD academy this summer
On the morning of Saturday, June 12 at the Bronx campus graduation, bachelor’s degrees were presented to a total of 1,392 students. In a sun-splashed Wein Stadium, 497 students were granted bachelor’s degrees and 895 received associate degrees.

A total of Thirty-nine graduates were presented with Outstanding Academic Achievement Awards for attaining final GPA’s of 4.0 and 280 students received departmental honors for attaining final GPA’s of more than 3.75.

 

At the New Rochelle campus graduation, held on Tuesday June 8 at the Westchester County Center, a total of 494 degrees were presented; 197 students were granted bachelor’s degrees and 297 students received associate degrees.
