Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion JR Visted Monroe

On Wednesday, April 13, Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion, Jr. visited the Monroe College Bronx campus to recognize the achievements of the 2004-2005 Monroe College Lady Mustangs basketball team.

“You lead on the court, in school, and in life,” the Borough President told the players. “You make every Bronxite very proud.”

He then proclaimed the day to be “Lady Mustangs Day” in the Bronx and made a presentation to Monroe College President Stephen Jerome.

The Lady Mustangs finished 32-2 this season, winning their second consecutive Region XV championship and reaching the NJCAA finals. Mr. Carrion also acknowledged the achievements of freshman forward Fantasia Goodwin, an NJCAA First-team All-American.
