This was the theme of the Bronx campus fall Career Fair held on Tuesday, October 18th in the King Hall gymnasium. Over 40 employers participated, helping to make the event a highlight of the Career Services Department’s fall semester. Corporations, organizations, healthcare providers, law enforcement agencies, retail and financial services companies all came to Monroe College to recruit students for full, part–time and internship opportunities. An estimated 300 students met with recruiters, submitted resumes, set up formal interviews and some even received offers of employment right on the spot.
We received many comments from employers, including one who said, “I think it was a great idea to prepare and email copies of the roster of companies prior to the fair. It gave your students the chance to look us up on the net. I wish other colleges did the same thing.”
Many of the employers also commented on the quality of our student resumes along with how professional everyone was dressed.
