We are happy to report that we currently have five Accounting majors interning at IBM. Yahaira Rivera, Christian Palacios, Jeffrey Johnson, Stacia Burke, and Abigail Ramnarine are all working in various accounting departments at IBM’s beautiful complex located in Somers, NY. Not only are the students employed in full time paid internships, but they are also being assigned meaningful accounting and financial projects. Linda Carollo, an IBM Human Resources Officer said, “The managers are very happy with the Monroe students. The type of work the students are given is at the level of a full time hire, which is very challenging, while giving them excellent and meaningful experience. We’re extremely fortunate our hiring program allows us to extend offers to our co-ops and have them start immediately upon graduation. It’s a win / win for both Monroe and IBM.” |
