Then the students went to 125th Street and Washington Square Park to give away the goods they had bagged and stored in four large plastic tubs. Some of the people they met made requests, asking specifically for coats or food. Afterwards, the students were struck by the unabashed need on the streets and were discussing ways they could help further. |
