Santa at Monroe

On Sunday, December 3, Santa came to Monroe College! More than 1400 Bronx residents, students, staff and their families came to King Hall to cavort with characters like Elmo, Chicken Little, Dora, Sponge Bob, and Superman. They shared holiday cookies, cotton candy, and balloons, and also, of course, spent time with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

There was face painting and fun tattoos. Each child was given a gift of an MP3 player or a stuffed animal. “The holidays are for sharing,” said Monroe College President Stephen Jerome, from underneath his festive Santa hat, “and this is our way of extending the Monroe College family.”
