Monroe students in Washington
To help make the material come alive, it was natural for the students to visit the White House and other historic sites in the nation’s capital. “We saw so much,” said one student, Jernine Charles, “but what I found most inspiring were the various war memorials. They really brought home the cost for democratic freedom.”
