CJ Professor Publishes Paper

This month Criminal Justice Professor Kimberly Collica had a scholarly paper published in the Journal of Correctional Health Care called, “The Prevalence of HIV Peer Programming in American Prisons: An Opportunity Wasted”.

Dr. Collica’s research indicates that the rates of HIV infection among incarcerated populations are astonishingly high. To combat this she recommends that jail and prison settings, which hold captive and high-risk populations, should be targeted for comprehensive HIV/AIDS educational programming.
