In an attempt to take the teaching of accounting and finance into the next century, the Monroe College Department of Accounting and Finance is adding WileyPLUS software, which is a bountiful online suite of resources. On Tuesday, August 28, John Wiley & Sons Inc. sent a team of software experts to the college so faculty could maximize the potential of WileyPLUS in Monroe classrooms.

"We are already teaching accounting the traditional way and on computers," said Department Chairperson Professor Jacob Lamar, "and by adding the WileyPLUS Software to our repertoire, our students will be better able to experience academic success, which, of course will lead to lucrative careers."

Last year, the Department of Accounting and Finance added Microsoft's Dynamics GP professional accounting software to its curriculum.
