As part of the Macy’s Cellar Kitchen series on great chef’s in New York, Monroe College Culinary Arts director Daniel Hinder and two of his students performed a culinary demonstration to a standing room only crowd in Macy’s Herald Square on Saturday, March 31. The two students who participated, Maria Lao and Mariel Alburquerque, had recently returned from the Monroe Study Abroad program in Italy. The event was held in conjunction with the Black Culinary Alliance and the Monroe presentation was so popular, that Macy’s has invited them back for seconds! |
