Two exceptional Monroe College Criminal Justice Students have been awarded scholarships by the Detectives Endowment Association.  Khadija Brown and Cindy Velilla were nominated by their Bronx council members to receive the $1,000 awards.

Councilmember Maria Baez nominated Ms. Brown, who lives in her 14th Councilmanic District and Councilmember Anabel Palma nominated Ms. Velilla, who lives in her 18th Councilmanic District.   Both students are scheduled to earn Bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice from Monroe College this year.
