Practical Nursing Celebration

On Saturday, January 6, the Monroe College School of Allied Health Professions held a celebration for the start of the first class of the college’s Practical Nursing program at the New York Botanical Garden. The thirty students in the program, Monroe faculty, and staff were joined by Dr. Karen Davenport for the New York State Education Department. “It was the perfect setting to celebrate something important,” said Dr. Elizabeth Errico, the Chairperson of the Nursing Program. “With such a difficult nursing shortage, we’re doing our part to develop capable, skilled professionals.”
