In recognition of American Heart month, the Human Resources Department collaborated with the School of Allied Health Professions to arrange for CPR training with the faculty and staff of Monroe College. Under the direction of Professor Campbell, the Training Center Coordinator, participants were trained in Heartsaver CPR, which involves performing the steps of CPR on an adult, child, or infant; relieving a victim who is choking; and using an automated external defibrillator (AED).
On February 11, 2011, Professors Esteban Jeffry and Fay Gordon worked with the participants in performing the steps of CPR and demonstrated the skills to successfully rescue a victim if the situation arises. At the end of the course, the participants received a completion card certified by the American Heart Association. |
