The Monroe College School of Business is making a significant commitment to improving development opportunities for Bronxites. As part of their on-going effort, they recently established a partnership with Sunshine Suites / Sunshine Bronx, the first city-sponsoredincubatorin the Bronx, which was announced in early June when Mayor Bloomberg came to the Bronx.
As part of the agreement, Monroe will be running workshops and providing training for business people and entrepreneurs. The college will also be providing interns.
“This is well aligned with our other entrepreneurial initiatives,” said Dean Michael Marinaccio. “Our relationship with the Hunts Point Economic Development Corporation and the Women’s Business Resource Center has inspired many businesses people in the Bronx. This partnership with Sunshine Suites is a perfect expansion of that important work.”
