Bachelor's (B.S.) Degree Program in Public Health

The Public Health Degree program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the systems and institutions of the American health care system that protect and improve the health of people and communities through education, injury and disease prevention, and promotion of healthy lifestyles.  Agencies with responsibility for public health can only carry out their missions if they have properly educated professionals to fulfill the core functions of public health.  Students will be provided with the knowledge and skills to collect and analyze data, identify community needs as well as plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, policies, and environments.
