Exam Information

Applicants interested in the LPN program are expected to take the ATI Entrance Examination after satisfactorily completion of the Monroe College admission process. RN applicants are expected to take both the ATI Entrance Examination and the ATI Comprehensive Predictor Examination.

The Teas exams are given on the last Friday of each month and cost $65. The test takes approximately 3 hours. Candidates who fail this exam may repeat it in six months. For TEAS study material and on-line practical assessment visit atitesting.com.

The TEAS consist of four sections of multiple choice questions covering the following:

  • Reading – Comprehension and inferences/conclusions (40 items, 50 minutes)
  • Math- Whole numbers, metric conversion, fractions; decimals, algebraic equations, percentages and ratio/proportions (45 items, 56 minutes)
  • Science- Science reasoning and knowledge biology, chemistry anatomy, physiology, basic physical principles and general science ( 30 items, 38 minutes)
  • English and Language Usage – punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, contextual words and spelling (55 items, 65 minutes)

The proctored ATI PN Comprehensive Predictor will be given to all Monroe College students completing their last semester in the LPN program. LPNs applying for the Registered Nurse program must also take this exam at a given date. This exam tests the student’s ability to successfully pass the NCLEX and also serve as an indicator for acceptance in the RN program.

The Comprehensive Predictor Exam will be given on October 29, 2010. The cost of the exam is $65.
