Career Opportunities

Finance - The study of Finance addresses the ways in which individuals and businesses allocate and use economic resources over time, taking into account the risks entailed in their projects. Finance is used by individuals, governments, businesses, schools and not-for-profit organizations. Careers in commercial banking, real estate, financial planning, etc are examples of career paths one can take after studying finance. 

 

Retailing - Retailing is one of the largest industries in the world and it exists in all countries. Careers in retailing include Marketing/Advertising, Store Operations, Loss Prevention, Store Management, Finance, Human Resources, IT and E-Commerce, Sales and Sales Related, Distribution, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Merchandise Buying/Planning, Entrepreneurship.

 

Marketing -  Careers in sales, advertising, distribution management, and direct marketing, to name a few, can be a result of studying marketing.

 

Human Resource Management - HRM activities include staffing, designing jobs and teams, developing skillful employees, and identifying ways for improving employee performance and rewarding employee success.  Careers in HRM include recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation, benefits and HR coordinators.

 

Entrepreneurship -Entrepreneurship ranges in scale from solo projects to major undertakings creating many job opportunities. Careers in entrepreneurship include managers, directors, product management to name a few.

 

Project Management -  This field is becoming increasingly popular as companies are beginning to appreciate the methodical and systematic approach to managing resources and project in a global economy.  Careers in project management include program management, portfolio management, marketing, and sales to name a few. Students are also eligible to sit for the Associate Project Manager certification after completion of courses.
