Information Technology
The Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology focuses on developing practical employable technologists. The School of Information Technology teaches students to apply what they have learned and to solve practical business problems by creating technological solutions that support the problem solving and decision-making needs of the corporate community.
Students will gain a solid IT foundation. The curriculum will develop students in the four areas of competencies that are most sought after for employment: technical/ practical skills, business/soft skills, industry/field experience and certifications. Courses will provide graduates with the management, team-building, communication, critical-thinking, and technical skills needed to keep current with ongoing and rapid advances in technology and will make them eligible to explore a varied array of career choices. These career options will include: system analysis, database administration, security analysis, network operations, web technologies, and application development and design.
Students are invited to speak to an adviser regarding minors in Networking, Web and Database Technologies, and Cyber Security and Forensics.
