Bachelor (B.B.A.) Degree Program in Information Technology

The Bachelor Degree Program in Information Technology focuses on developing practical employable technologists. The School of Information Technology (SIT) teaches students to apply what they have learned and to adapt to the constantly changing technological world.  With this in mind, the program is geared to respond to new technological developments (ex. Wireless Communications, 3D Virtual Reality Networks, "Grid Processing". Cryptography.)



Students will gain a solid IT foundation.   The curriculum will develop students in the four areas of competencies most sought-after for employment: technical/practical skills, business/soft skills, Industry/field experience and certifications. Courses will provide graduates with the management, team-building, communication, critical-thinking, and technical skills needed to keep current with ongoing and rapid advances in technology and will make them eligible to explore a varied array of career choices . Past Monroe graduates are employed by organizations ranging from those the size of IBM to small public service firms and have gone on to pursuing advanced degrees throughout the US.
