Cisco Networking Academy

The School of Information Technology (SIT) at Monroe College is part of the Cisco Networking Academy.  The Networking Academy program utilizes a blended learning model, integrating face-to-face teaching with a challenging web-based curriculum, hands-on lab exercises, and Internet-based assessment. Academy graduates are prepared for networking and IT-related careers in the public and private sectors, as well as for higher education in engineering, computer science and related field.

SIT offers the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) courses the lead to highly sought after industry certification. These courses are a part of our core program and can be taken over four terms.  These courses are: CCNA1 - Cisco Networking Basics; CCNA2 - Cisco Routing; CCNA3 - Cisco Switching and CCNA4 - Cisco Wide Area Network Technologies.  After completing these courses, students will be able to sit for the CCNA certification exam.
