School of Information Technology

Careers in Information Technology provide the opportunity for the IT Professional to be the change agent in organizations rather than be the one changed. These professionals in the constantly growing field include Systems Analysts, Database Administrators, Telecommunications Managers, Network Administrators, Technical Support and Training personnel, Web Developers, and Help Desk staff.

Monroe's School of Information Technology (SIT) features classroom instruction in state-of-the-art labs that balance theory and application and a focus on contemporary skills: Networking (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer; Cisco Certified Network Associate); PC Technician; End-User Support, Database Administration, and Web Development.

After completing applicable courses IT students qualify for certification examinations (MCSE, A+, Network+, Server+, IC3, CCNA, CWNA, Oracle) that are vital in career development.
