Database Administrator

Behind every computer program is an experience database administrator. Data administrators store, maintain, and organize hardware and software data ensuring functionality, security, and compliance. Information technology is a diverse, continually evolving field; therefore, the skillsets and responsibilities of database administrators often vary depending on the company. Database administrators must have advanced technological capabilities, a deep understanding of IT integration, and outstanding troubleshooting skills.

A Bachelor’s Degree from the Monroe College School of Information Technology provides a strong balance between academic theory and real-world experience. Our faculty of C-level IT professionals, project managers, and communications managers prepare students for Cisco Academy certification while teaching them key database concepts, models, and terminology. Students are further empowered to achieve database administrator success by taking part in internships at leading private and public sector companies.

Graduates of the Monroe College School of Information Technology Program can either pursue an exciting career in database administration or work toward a Master’s Degree. If you’re interested in becoming a database administrator, visit here to learn more about Monroe College.
