About Our Nursing Program

Thank you for your interest in the School of Nursing at Monroe College.  Admission to the program is highly competitive.  Monroe offers nursing students two options to achieve their Associate Degree in Registered Nursing.  Students may enter into a “1+1” program, completing their Practical Nursing program in the first year and their Registered nursing Associate program in their second year.  Alternatively, those students that are already Licensed Practical nurses may enter directly into the registered Nursing program. This is a FULL-TIME DAY program. Nursing students are expected to be available for didactic, clinical, lab and study-time between the hours of 8am and 9pm, Monday through Friday.
