Jerome first started his career in banking a decade ago at Royal Bank of Canada formerly known as RBTT in Trinidad. There he developed a love for banking. Aspiring to become a global banker he enrolled at Monroe College in pursuit of higher education.
Jerome has done exceptionally well academically. He completed both his BBA and MBA in Business Management with a concentration in finance in 2006 and 2010 respectively, consistently maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
This leap landed him internships at UBSin the Wealth and Asset Management division and AXA Advisors Financial Services. In addition to this, he acquired a full time position at Legg Mason Global Asset Management. Currently he is an Associate Financial Risk Controller at JP Morgan Chase. His role involves working across global teams to produce daily and periodic reports that are pertinent for hedging the credit risk of the Investment Bank.
Jerome actively participated as a team member and presenter at the SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) national competition in 2006, and was the regional winner. In addition, he was also a member of NABA (National Association of Black Accountants) Deloitte Case Study competition in 2010 where they were winners. He served as a mentor to High School students in the New York City Mentor Program and was an active member of the National Black MBA Association.
Jerome says that, “The perks of obtaining a Dean’s Scholarship, President's List awards and Honors program distinctions are merely part of the true experience of being a student on a diversified campus." The exposure of working across teams of individuals from across the globe provided the blue print for success in his career.Jerome credits the faculty and staff at Monroe College for playing an integral role in his academic and professional development.
