Reynoso Seide - BA in CIS, June 2007
As a system Administrator in New York Columbia Presbyterian, Reynoso was named Employee of the Month. In making the selection, his supervisor, Support Services Director of Operations Graham Gulian, said:
"Rey has been with our department in his role as system administrator for just under two years. As part of his job, he provides customer service for staff throughout the hospital who use Sentact. Frequently I receive calls or emails from people throughout the organization who want to commend Rey on his patient, thorough service. Early in the rollout of Sentact, Rey asked me if he could carry a pager so that staff who had issues with Sentact on weekends or off hours could be helped.
Recently, Rey was telling me about how he volunteers his time to teach basic PC skills in his neighborhood to people who have never used a computer, and asked if he could do the same for employees in Support Services, many of whom had never used a computer. Rey developed a program, working with COLE, for a basic skills course and has begun teaching classes, covering all of our campuses, including night shift staff. His classes have been enthusiastically received and are becoming very popular with the staff. Thanks to Rey, many of our employees are receiving skills which will open up opportunities for them Most importantly, Rey does this work out of the goodness of his heart and exemplifies all the values that NYP embraces."
