Deserey Gayle

On June 2010, Deserey Gayle graduated from Monroe with a BBA in Hospitality Management and a minor in Human Resources Management.  As a result of  her commitment, hard work and persistence, she graduated  Summa Cum Laude.

After graduation, Deserey returned home to the Cayman Islands where she has been working at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel as a Human Resources Coordinator.

"I really enjoy my job working with over 700+ employees," she said.

Already Deserey has received First Class Recognition from her department head regarding her professionalism and organizational skills. She has participated in different Career Expositions where she assisted in recruiting local talents. She was interviewed by a local radio station where she spoke about her new work environment and gave positive advice to young Caymanians.

Interestingly, her job role is not limited.  She is actively involved in other areas of the office such as recruitment, and training and development.  She is also planning and organizing company events, writing the company’s newsletter  and even participating in local community volunteer events.

Deserey’s advice is,  "Never say no to any given opportunity. You must continue to learn and grow and maintain a positive attitude at all times."
