Hard to believe, but the Monroe College Bachelors Program recently celebrated its tenth year anniversary. To honor the many successes of our graduates who are now successful alumni, on Friday, April 20th at the Bronx campus Dean Goldstein hosted an amazing celebratory party. The King Hall gym was dramatically transformed to appear like a beachfront Caribbean resort, complete with a specially-lighted tent that gracefully covered most of the gym, creating an inviting, intimate setting. Speeches were presented honoring President Jerome, Alumni Director Leslie Jerome, and special accolades were bestowed upon Ted Goldstein, the long time Dean of the Bachelors Program. In addition, many of our distinguished alumni, including Ameil Sloley, Catherine Barreto, James Gravely and Ann Marie Ferguson shared memories of their days at Monroe with the other 200 alumni, friends, faculty and staff members in attendance. The food was amazing, with a sumptuous assortment of Caribbean and contemporary delights. The DJ's rocked the room and those who took to the dance floor showed moves seldom seen before on our historic hard wood court! Congrats again to Ted, the alumni, and all the Bachelor's students! |
