Coach Mark Goodman is a track coach with a track record of success. Prior to coaching at Monroe, Coach Goodman was a high school Track and Field and Cross Country coach for the past eight years on Long Island. During that time, his teams won a Cross Country Championship, six Indoor Conference Championships, seven Outdoor Division Championships and his teams were County Champion Runners-Up three times. In the spring of 2007, Coach Goodman was named Coach of the Year by the Nassau County Coaches Association. In addition to his teams’ overall successes, he has produced top performing athletes in Nassau County including several who qualified to perform in the seasonal New York State Competitions.
Coach Goodman graduated from the University of Albany where he was recruited to throw discus and the hammer for the State University’s Division I Track and Field Team. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. After moving back to Long Island, Coach Goodman attended and graduated from Hofstra University with a Master of Science degree in Physical Education, grades K-12.
Coach Goodman is currently employed with the New York City Department of Education as a Physical Education teacher.

Chris McCutchan – Assistant Coach
Coach Chris McCutchan has coached at two different high schools prior to his arrival at Monroe College. He made his debut coaching at his former high school, Sandford H. Calhoun High School in Long Island where he coached both indoor and outdoor track and field. He also coached at nearby Lynbrook High School for Cross Country.
Coach McCutchan graduated from Fordham University where he participated in Varsity Cross Country and Track and Field all four years. He was part of Fordham’s 2006 IC4A University championship team for Cross Country.
Coach McCutchan graduated Fordham with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. He is currently employed by ICON Central Laboratories |
