Brett Polow - Head Coach of Women's Soccer

Coach Polow had an extraordinary record as a college soccer player at the University of Rochester. He was First Team All-UAA in 1997 and was named as the Athlete of the Week nine times. The first goalkeeper to be undefeated and untied after seven games in UAA conference play, his team was UAA champs in ‘97. All told, he led Rochester to 2 NCAA tournament appearances and is the school's career record holder for shutouts (24) and goals-against average (.75). He also holds the Rochester single-season record for shutouts (12) and goals-against average (.37). His final record as a goalkeeper was an extraordinary 33-11-8. In 2007, Coach Polow was named assistant coach of men's soccer at Alfred University and in 2008 he became Monroe's men's assistant. He has been a goalkeeper coach for various teams within the BW Gottsche Academy.
Coach Polow graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Arts and double major in Philosophy and Political Science and is Currently employed with Avatar LLC as an equity trader. |
Jason Auffarth - Assistant Coach

Jason Auffarth has roots in both Westchester County and New York City. He starred for his high school, Fordham Prep, and helped lead them to two city championships in both 1990 and 1992. He also played for Westchester Soccer Hall of fame coach Dr. Joram Warmund on the first-ever New Rochelle United premier team and was a member of the ENYYSA Olympic Development program in 1992.
Coach Auffarth has strong college experience as well. He was a four year starter for SUNY Albany as a freshman when they won the ECAC tournament and played in the NCAA tournament in his junior year.
After college he had a brief semi-professional career with the NYC semi pro team Inca El Diario.
Head Coach Brett Polow and Jason Auffarth have been playing together since 1990 as teammates on New Rochelle United. "There aren't too many players I played with who had the skills and saviness on a pitch like Jay," coach Polow says. “Having him as my assistant at Monroe is a natural thing for us because we’re on the same page on what it takes to build a winning program.”
Coach Auffarth is a commercial real estate broker. He resides in Larchmont, NY and is married and has two beautiful daughters. |
