The Poetry Club – P.I.T. (Poetry Is Truth)

The Poetry In Truth (P.I.T.) Club gives students the opportunity to convey ideas, thoughts & feelings through written word and verbal expression. As students face the challenges in their lives, P.I.T. nurtures creative, intellectual and social growth.

P.I.T. encourages, motivates and provides the opportunity for literary growth, public performance and self-expression, and creates an uplifting campus presence that enhances the college experience. Open-mics and Poetry Slam events are regularly scheduled each semester.

Membership in P.I.T. is open to all Monroe College students who submit two original works of poetry and are in good academic standing.

The P.I.T. Club meets once a week on Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 1:00pm in Room 201, King Hall.
