During the academic year the Monroe College SIFE students work on approximately eighteen projects focusing on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, market economics, ethical, sustainability, and success skills through community development. Students who become members of SIFE are expected to learn the skills to be an effective project manager and ethical business professional.
SIFE meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:00 noon. On the Bronx campus meetings are held in Ustin, Room 102 and on the New Rochelle campus SIFE meets in the Annex Building.
Guided by faculty advisors who are Sam M. Walton Free Enterprise Fellows (in honor of the late Wal-Mart founder), Professor Tilokie Depoo is the SIFE advisor in the Bronx and Professor Stacy Crawford in New Rochelle.
