Monroe College offers both dorm suite and apartment living in several different facilities on or near the campus. Allison Hall Living The newest addition is Allison Hall, a six-story residence hall on Main Street, just a few steps from classes. Each suite has two bedrooms, a bathroom, telephone and refrigerator, with two students typically staying in each bedroom. Rooms are fully furnished with bedroom furniture, storage areas, wardrobe and mirrors. Each floor has a common room with cable television, open and lit 24 hours a day for students to socialize and study. Security is provided around the clock. Additionally, the building has a fitness center, computer lounge, pantry with five microwaves and laundry facility. Allison Bistro has top-notch food offerings for residents. The building is equipped with central air conditioning.
Apartment Living Apartments are located in the residential New Rochelle neighborhood surrounding the campus. Apartments are in charming buildings on tree-lined streets, all within short walking distance of classrooms. Buildings are monitored by security and each has a resident advisor available 24 hours a day. Apartment amenities include furnished bedrooms and living rooms, cable television, kitchenette with refrigerator, stove and microwave and computer linked to the school's network. Room Assignments Rooms are assigned upon availability, choice of an apartment or suite is solely depending on the availability and a first come first served basis. |
