Guide to Successful Career Management

The Office of Career Advancement (OCA) Guide to Successful Career Management has been prepared to assist you through your career planning and job search process. It is designed to assist you in all aspects of the career development process, beginning with your first semester. Regardless of what degree program you're enrolled in, you will find usefull information, including career planning, seeking an internship, writing your first resume, preparing for an interview, building a network, or assessing your current skills, or seeking that first professional position upon graduation.

 

This guide is most valuable when used in conjunction with the many other OCA services available to you. Come to either the Bronx or New Rochelle OCA; meet with an Advisor, use the vast array of career tools. OCA staff works closely with students, alumni, faculty, and employers to integrate career planning, job search and employment information into the curriculum, extra curricular volunteer and club activities, and "real world" experiences.
