Overview

Monroe College has partnerships with national and local organizations that are looking for new talent or ways to improve the performance of current employees. The program establishes a mutually beneficial affiliation through internships, employee recruitment, customized workforce training, and educational grants.

Educational Grant

Employees of Monroe College’s corporate partners receive a grant to attend Monroe. The Corporate Partnership Grant discounts tuition up to 20% for any employee of a partner organization who enrolls at the college on a full-time or part-time basis. Students must provide either a current employee ID or a W-2 to verify employment.

Internships

Monroe places over 1,000 interns each year in positions related to their career field of interest. Interns are nearing the completion of their degree programs and typically work in their positions at no cost to the corporate partner.

Employee Recruitment

Monroe hosts a number of on-campus recruitment events, including Job Fairs each semester attended by 800+ students and graduates seeking new career opportunities. The Office of Career Advancement maintains job boards for both full-time and part-time positions. Partner organizations are also encouraged to arrange separate interview schedules either on-site at their own locations or on-campus at Monroe.

Customized Workforce Training

Monroe will work with corporate partners to customize an employee training program designed to address specific needs. Programs may vary in length, location, style of delivery, and topics addressed. Monroe has the capability of providing any number of customized training programs including ICD-10 training.
