Athletic Scholarships

Athletic scholarships are structured at Monroe according to the division in which the team competes within the National Junior College Athletic Association. All teams with their related divisions are listed below:

Men’s Cross Country/Indoor-Outdoor Track	I
Women’s Cross Country/Indoor-Outdoor Track	I
Women’s Basketball	II
Women’s Volleyball	II
Women’s Softball	II

Maximum awards are determined by division as follows:

Division I Teams – Maximum awards can include tuition, fees, books, housing, meal plan, and a stipend for the student athlete.

Division II Teams – Maximum awards are limited to tuition and fees.

Actual awards may be equal to or below the maximumawards described above and take into account the following factors:

1. The student’s eligibility for financial aid grants.

2. The available budget and judgment of the coach and athletic director.

Students receiving athletic scholarships must remain in good academic and athletic standing in order to continue receiving their awards.
