Honors Colloquium

At the end of every semester, the Honors Program sponsors the Honors Colloquium, a scholarly and celebratory program where honors students are given the opportunity to showcase their projects and papers to the Honors Board, faculty, peers, and the entire Monroe College community.

Recognizing Excellence

In recognition of the high quality presentations at the Honors Colloquium, judges will award prizes based on the following categories:

Best Overall Individual, and Best Overall Group—these awards recognize the best overall presentation on the individual level and again on the group level.  Students are judged based on the overall presentation of the material; this includes the academic experience and how well that experience is presented to the audience, the level of creativity and the general presentation skills.

Most Interactive is awarded to the presenter(s) who best engages the audience.

Best Research is awarded to the student who demonstrates the highest level of research completed for the project.

The overall winner may also qualify to represent the college at one of the Honors Conferences hosted by either the National Collegiate Honors Council or the Northeast Regional Honors Council.
