Enroll Into the Night!

Monroe College will be open for enrolling for the fall classes until midnight on Wednesday, August 26. This way everyone, whether they have daytime responsibilities or not, has an equal access to a college education. For more information call 800-55-Monroe.

The fourth annual Monroe College Admissions Mid-nighter, an extravaganza that begins Wednesday, August 26 at 9:00am and lasts through midnight, will bring an open door of opportunity for new students who want to be sure to be registered in time for the Fall Semester that begins Wednesday, September 9.

“Monroe College understands that people can’t ignore the many responsibilities they have,” said Director of Admissions Evan Jerome, “and by keeping our doors open for the Admissions Mid-nighter, we’re doing our part to help them enroll in college.”

Originally devised to facilitate enrollment for working adult students, Mr. Jerome has discovered the concept is also popular with young-adults and traditional high school students.

“All prospective students are encouraged that Monroe is willing to match their commitment to success,” Mr. Jerome said, “so they enthusiastically make the most of the unique opportunity the Mid-nighter provides.”

During the Admissions Mid-nighter, new students, students returning to Monroe, and transfer students can complete the entire admissions process– application, placement testing, transfer credit evaluation, acceptance, financial aid, and registration. In addition the college will be talking about its flexible schedules that include day, evening, and weekend classes. This allows adult students to build schedules that work around their career and personal commitments. Also, Monroe boasts of an Online Learning program where students can earn their degree by taking courses over the internet, 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. Many adults also apply previous or current work experience toward their Monroe degree as life experience credits.

The Mid-nighter also includes food, fun, and entertainment. This year’s event will again feature jazz guitarist Lou Volpe, a caricaturist, Hollywood Klieg Lights, a quality buffet provided by Salsa Caterers, t-shirt giveaways, and more.

The Admissions Mid-nighter will take place in King Hall on Monroe’s Bronx campus at 2501 Jerome Avenue, Bronx, NY. For more information about the event and enrolling in Monroe College call 800-55-MONROE or visit www.monroecollege.edu .
