Scholarship A

This Monroe College Basketball Athletic Scholarship is intended to cover all budgeted expenses during the Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters. In order to receive the award, the recipient must remain in good academic and athletic standing.

For academic year 2008–2009, this scholarship has a value of up to $10,676 per semester (Each scholarship may vary based on the actual cost of books, board charges, and meals, less the Federal and State grants for which the student may be eligible.). After application to institutional costs (tuition, fees, board and meal plan) the balance, not to exceed $1,000, is distributed in monthly installments of $250 a month. The monthly distribution of $250 is to be used for weekend board, transportation and miscellaneous expenses. The Financial Aid Office will authorize the full purchase of all required books.

Scholarship B

This Monroe College Basketball Athletic Scholarship is intended to cover tuition, fees, books, transportation costs and a modified meal plan during the Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters. In order to receive the award, the recipient must remain in good academic and athletic standing. Final scholarship awards will be based on remaining tuition, fees, books and transportation costs after the application of federal and state grants. 

For academic year 2008–2009, this scholarship has a value of up to $6,741 per semester (each scholarship may vary based on the actual costs of books). The final scholarship will be the cost of tuition, fees, books and transportation less federal and/or state grants and a partial meal plan. Stipends of $87.50 will be paid in monthly installments to cover the cost of transportation. The Financial Aid Office will authorize the full purchase of all required books.
