Scholarship is applicable to local transfer students entering one of our baccalaureate programs with cumulative GPAs of at least 3.0 and a minimum of 30 transferable credits. These scholarships are competitive and may also be school-based.

An application and essay is required. Contact the Bachelor’s Admission Office for further information.

Scholarship Requirement General Criteria
Silver Scholarship

Up to $600 per semester

Must maintain a 3.25 GPA

Cumulative GPA of 3.00 – 3.49 from previous institution. Actual amount of this grant is related to student’s financial aid grants.

Gold Scholarship

Up to $800 per semester

Must maintain a 3.25 GPA

Cumulative GPA of 3.50 - 3.74 from previous institution. Actual amount ofthis grant is related to student’s financial aidgrants.

 

Platinum Scholarship

Up to $2,000 per semester

Must maintain a 3.25 GPA

Cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher from previous institution. Actual amount ofthis grant is related to student’s financial aid grants.

This scholarship is applicable to continuing Monroe Bachelor's degree students (after 1st BBA semester)Students must have earned at least 60 credits.

Awarded on a semester basis to continuing Monroe Baccalaureate students, with 60 credits earning a semester GPA of at least 3.75.

based on baccalaureate courses.

Monroe Bachelor's Degree Transition Scholarship

up to $1650 ($550 per semester)

Awardedfor one semester to students going from the Associate Degree program to the MonroeBaccalaureate program with a minimum of 60 credits and a cumulativeGPA of at least 3.75.

Financial Aid Office

Full-time status and cumulative average of 3.75 based on baccalaureate courses.

Part-time Status for Scholarship students

Scholarship students, other than International students, who go from full-time to part-time, will receive a pro-rated scholarship for their part-time semester, but will not be eligible for the scholarship the semester following their part-time status. Scholarship students who are in their last semester and will be part-time will receive a pro-rated scholarship.

  • All scholarships are originally awarded based on full-time enrollment status.
  • Students who enter the college as Bachelor students may not receive the Baccalaureate Scholarship until they have completed their Associate Degree requirements or earned a minimum of 60 credits. At that time, they will receive the Baccalaureate Scholarship if they have the required cumulative GPA of 3.75.
  • Students may only receive one merit scholarship funded by Monroe College
  • Scholarship Appeals: Students may appeal the loss of their scholarship by contacting the Director of Student Financial Services at the appropriate campus. Documentation supporting the appeal will be required before any decision is made. At that time the appeal process will be discussed.
