Master of Science in Criminal Justice

The Master of Science in Criminal Justice prepares the criminal justice professional for the challenges of the twenty-first century. The criminal justice system must now cope with the new threats of international drug cartels, transnational crime and global terrorism.

A graduate education has become indispensable to the criminal justice professional who aspires for leadership positions at federal, state and city agencies.

The innovative curriculum in the Master of Science in Criminal Justice will deepen the student's understanding of the changing national and international environment.  Graduates will develop competences in data analysis, research methods and crime reduction strategies.  Emphasis will be placed on the development of managerial writing skills, critical thinking and knowledge of the criminal justice literature.

The Master of Science in Criminal Justice will be beneficial to graduates who seek to advance their careers or those who desire to pursue advanced degrees. Students can choose the general degree or a concentration in Human Services.

And beginning in September 2011, you can earn your MS in Criminal Justice degree fully online.
