Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a federally funded financial aid employment program. To be eligible you must be full-time, matriculated, and enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
Eligibility is based on need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the availability of funds at the time of application. Work-Study funds are limited and are awarded to the extent that funding permits. Students awarded FWS mustattend a mandatory meeting and are sent hiring packets by email at the beginning of the fall semester. Additional packets are available at the Work Study Job Fair or in the campus financial aid office.
The FWS program mimicsreal world experience and the real world labor market. As such,the FWS job market can be competitive.As a result, students are encouraged to put your very best foot forward! This also means that after participating in this experience, studentsoften have a head-start on job search skills which will pave the road tosuccess in the future! |
