In fact, every new online student begins their studies on campus with a welcome orientation hosted by the Online department. Once enrolled, online students have full access to and are encouraged to use, Monroe’s libraries, study centers, recreational and career facilities. Additionally, your professors are always available for one-on-one appointments. Perhaps best of all, our online classes have been designed to be totally in synch with those on campus. So you can easily create a blended schedule that combines the best of both experiences.
Support every step of the way
One of the advantages separating Monroe Online from other programs is an unparalleled level of support and encouragement. Upon applying, you’ll be matched with a Personal Admissions Counselor whose sole job is to help you with all aspects of getting started. Once the semester begins, you’ll be assigned a Personal Student Services Counselor who helps guide your studies, assists with tutoring and encourages your progress. For academic help, your professors have weekly online office hours. Additionally, once a month, each professor holds a face-to-face online class where you will be able to see him or her and have on the spot discussions. Monroe also provides all students with an online tutoring service you can access 24/7 and one-on-one assistance in Monroe’s on-campus Learning Resource Centers.

Click the Lessons tab and you’ll get all your class notes, reading materials and quizzes organized by week. Click Communicate and you’ll have instant access to your professor and every classmate. Our online class schedules operate in traditional 15 week terms, similar to our campus schedule. We feel that this means students don’t feel like they’re cramming 15 weeks of content into a 6-week period. Plus, because our on-campus and online semesters are totally aligned, our online students have the flexibility of talking a class on campus whenever their schedule allows.
