Students do not need to be technological wizards to be successful in an online learning environment.  The Monroe College online student should have the following:

• Access to a reliable computer at home or at work

   

• An ISP (Internet Service Provider); such as MSN, AOL, etc., and Internet Browser (Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher)

   

• PC installed Microsoft Office suite of products that include, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Windows 95 and higher, 450 MHz Pentium III Processor, 200 MB of available storage space on your hard disk, and 64 MB RAM, or greater

 

• Modem, DSL, Cable or LAN Internet connection (connection speed: minimum of 56k modem)
