New York City Experience
Monroe College’s Soccer Academy encourages students to extend their learning experience beyond the classroom. Through academic, social and cultural groups and activities, students have ample opportunity to join organizations that interest them, support causes they believe in, or just have some good, old-fashioned fun with a diverse group of their peers. Being a part of the Monroe community means getting involved and developing the leadership skills that will serve you well in your athletic career.
Monroe College's New Rochelle campus offers the best of both worlds: an idyllic, quiet, suburban campus that is close to New York City, the largest city in the United States. Just a 30 minute train ride to Grand Central Terminal, New York City is home to some of the world's best cultural offerings and will provide you with countless adventures. Plus, Monroe College’s Soccer Academy will have you visiting a wide array of neighborhood soccer fields where you’ll experience the city from a local’s perspective.
Living on campus is an exciting way to enjoy college and bond with peers and classmates. Monroe's residence life program offers several options for staying on the New Rochelle campus and making college a 24-7 experience including Monroe’s suite-style Residence Halls or Apartments. Through our Student Services office, students have various opportunities to explore New Rochelle and surrounding areas. Some recent events include a Moonlight Boat Cruise around NYC, a Broadway Show, Educational Seminars and Workshops and Cultural Trips to New York’s Botanical Gardens and Aquarium.
If you don’t feel like leaving campus, you’ll be able to cheer on our nationally-recognized sports teams, go out to a local neighborhood restaurant on Main Street or attend an event on-campus. The bottom line is there is always something going on.
