Safety and security are very important to Monroe College. The majority of our facilities are equipped with surveillance cameras. Public Safety personnel are employed 24 hours/day to secure our buildings and surrounding areas, as well as respond to emergencies or issues around the clock.
Additionally, each residence hall on campus is managed by a Residence Hall Director (RD) who is a full-time employee and is dedicated to working with college students in a residential setting. Resident Assistants (RAs) are undergraduate students responsible for the creation and maintenance of a residence hall community conducive to the academic, social, and personal needs of residents. RAs’ also help to coordinate special residence events for students. RAs are expected to confront violations of college policy, act as a role model in proper and desirable behavior, encourage residents to assume responsibility for their own actions/choices, and encourage respect and appreciation of each other's differences. |
